NCLC holds a specialty weekend at Colusa, traditionally on the first weekend in November. It has normally has two AKC shows on Saturday and a club show under LCA rules on Sunday. The club AGM is held on Saturday evening along with a social event (pandemics permitting). The 2023 event took place over the weekend of 4/5 November, with over 30 Leonbergers present.
Since 2017, NCLC has supported the entry at the Saturday show at Woofstock with a Designated Specialty. This traditionally takes place on the second weekend in June
